Call for Papers for Urban Studies Conference 2026 is now open!
The Finnish Urban Studies Conference will take place in Tampere on 7–8 May 2026, bringing together researchers, professionals, and students interested in urban research and planning. The theme of this year’s event is City of Hope.
Abstracts can be submitted to 21 different groups. See the descriptions of the sessions.
Please submit your presentation abstract (approximately 250 words) directly to the chairs of the sessions by Tuesday, 17.3.2026. Contact details for the chairs can be found in each group’s description.
The sessions welcome presentations based on completed or ongoing research, projects, and theses. More general discussion pieces are also encouraged. Please check each group’s detailed description for the preferred type of contributions and accepted presentation languages.
Registration for the conference will open in late March or early April, when participation fees will also be announced.
